Product Overview

Clonetics^TM Human Skeletal Muscle Myoblasts (HSMM) are isolated from normal donors. HSMMs are isolated from the upper arm or leg muscle tissue and are sold in second passage. HSMMs can be differentiated to form myotubes in culture. 

Clonetics^TM HSMMs are guaranteed through 10 population doublings and to differentiate to form multinucleated myotubes in culture. All cell types test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysi (CoA) is provided for each cell lot purchased.

CloneticsTM Diabetic Type I and Type II Human Skeletal Muscle Myoblasts (HSMM) are isolated from donors diagnosed with either Diabetes Type I or Diabetes Type II. Additional donor information is available by contacting Scientific Support. Diseased cells are tested in the same SkGMTM-2 Skeletal Muscle Growth Media as the normal cells allowing for easy comparisons between diseased and normal tissue. Both are sold in second passage.

CloneticsTM Diabetic Donor HSMMs are tested are guarenteed to differentiate to form multinucleated myotubes in culture which stain positive for desmin. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysi is provided for each cell lot purchased.
