Product Overview

Lonza offers Human Intestinal Myofibroblasts (H-InMyoFib), cryopreserved at passage 2 with ≥500,000 cells per vial. H-InMyoFibs share phenotypic characteristics of both fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells but do not express smooth muscle markers such as smoothelin, caldesmon, or (in the normal colon and small intestine) desmin. They play a fundamental role in growth and development of intestine, immunology, inflammation, fibrosis, water and electrolyte transport, contraction and wound healing.

Cryopreserved Clonetics^TM Human Intestinal Myofibroblasts (H-InMyoFib) are guaranteed through 15 population doublings, express alpha SM Actin after thaw ≥70% and Desmin ≤10%. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysi is provided for each cell lot purchased.
